If you have a mental health issue then you are less likely to be confident enough to communicate with others so you might stay away from any group activities and this means that you might go into depression which means that you aren’t getting your emotional needs met because you don’t feel safe and you don’t feel like you belong with others.
Ø Infection- these are illnesses that are by the passing or micro organisms between people. This could lead to less serious infections such as the cold, or a throat infection and it can also lead to more serious infections such as; Flu, measles, eye infections and bronchitis. If you get an infection it often means that you have to take time away from school or your job so that you don’t pass the infection on to other people. This also affects your social health because you aren’t able to take part in social activities because you are at risk of spreading the infection on to your family or friends. When you are recovering from an infection it takes time and you are on antibiotics for a few weeks.
Ø Injury- injury affects your physical health as well as your social health, if you badly injure yourself and you are in hospital the you wont be getting all of the physical exercise that you need and you won’t be getting out to see any of your friends because they might be working then you wont be getting your social needs met because you wont see any of your friends until you are fully recovered.
