Maslow's Hierarchy of needs
Maslow's Hierarchy of needs involves different types of needs that all individuals need in order to reach "Self Actualization"
When a child's physiological needs are being met it means that they are getting the appropriate food, nutrients and they are sheltered away from any harm. Then comes the safety and security needs, this is when a infant is healthy, is getting the attention that they need and they have a feeling of security around them this is also when the infant is getting to know their family members and having the feeling that someone is going to look after them when they cry. Hygiene is important with young infants at they are more prone to infection because they have weaker immune systems so it is vital that parents must sterilize equipment and bottles that the baby is being fed from.
